Ambabai Mandir: Cleanliness is going on in the temple in the wake of Navratri festival. Cleaning of the shrine and ornaments will be done on Wednesday (21st). Due to this, the darshan of Ambabai will be closed on that day. However, for the devotees, the festival idol of the goddess will be kept at the Saraswati temple for darshan. Meanwhile, the coloring of the temple peaks will be started from today and Sunday.
Preparations in Ambabai temple are going on in full swing in the wake of Navratri festival. Cleaning of the inner temple area is going on and the core will be cleaned on Wednesday. After the cleaning of the gabhara is completed, in the evening again the idol will be anointed and the salankrit pooja will be performed.
Gold jewelry will be cleaned
Ambabai’s diamond and gold ornaments will also be cleaned on Wednesday itself. Devi’s daily and occasional ornaments are different. Also, the decorations of Utsavamurti are also different. These ornaments are cleaned once a year.
Emphasis on providing facilities to devotees
Meanwhile, e-pass was made mandatory for Darshan last year due to Corona. However, this year the devotees going for darshan in Gabharya will have to go through the darshan queue. A pavilion will be erected for the Darshan queue from Shivaji Chowk. Devotees will be allowed entry through all the doors including the Mahadwara for Mukhadarshan. For this, a queue will be made next to the Garuda Mandapa. After darshan one can exit through all the doors.
Also, drinking water will be made available for the devotees along with the darshan row. Also, the staff of the temple will provide drinking water in the darshan queue. Shivraj Naikwade, secretary of the temple said that arrangements will be made for mobile toilets at Shivaji Chowk, Juna Rajwada, Binkhambi Ganesha Temple, Jotiba Road, Tarabai Road, Mahadwar Road.
