Mumbai: Along with the upcoming Lok Sabha (Loksabha Election), BJP is gearing up for the Vidhansabha Election. In the first phase, BJP has focused on 98 constituencies where the party is not dominant or has never won before.
For the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP has picked up 16 seats which it has never won, while for the Assembly elections, it has scouted around 98 constituencies. Especially, BJP is already gearing up to win this constituency which is under the control of Congress-NCP. For this, the responsibility was given to Shrikant Bharatiya on behalf of BJP.
In the first phase, around 98 constituencies have been selected from Maharashtra. These are constituencies which were lost by less than 2000 votes in 2014 or 2019 elections.
Which giants to target in the first phase?
- Karad Dakshin Constituency of Prithviraj Chavan
- Parli by Dhananjay Munde
- Karjat Jamkhed by Rohit Pawar
- Muktainagar by Eknath Khadse
- Latur Rural by Dheeraj Deshmukh
- Varsha Gaikwad’s Dharavi
- Malad by Aslam Sheikh
- Dutta Bharne’s Indapur
These include veterans.
Although there are 98 constituencies in the first phase, there is a possibility of an increase in these constituencies in the coming days. BJP will also try to win it by including the constituency of veteran leaders like NCP state president Jayant Patil, Ajit Pawar Ashok Chavan. But emphasis has been placed on the constituencies that lost 2,000 in the first phase. With more than two years to go for the assembly elections, it remains to be seen whether the mission the BJP has launched pays off.
BJP has launched Mission 45 keeping in view the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections. This mission has started from Pawar’s stronghold of Baramati. The Union Minister will review the organizational status and work in the Lok Sabha constituencies.
