After this, the production of India’s first quadrivalent human papillomavirus vaccine (qHPV) will begin and soon this affordable vaccine will be available in the market.

Meanwhile, it would be a revolutionary step to save women from dying from cervical cancer. Prakash Kumar Singh, SII’s Director of Government and Regulatory Affairs, had on June 8 applied to the Comptroller General of Drugs of India for authorization after completion of clinical trials of Phase 2 and 3 of the HPV vaccine.
