Mumbai: Independent MLA Bachu Kadu has been granted regular bail by the Mumbai Sessions Court on Wednesday. He was recently sentenced to 14 days judicial custody by the Girgaon Magistrate Court in a political agitation crime committed in the year 2018. However, on the same day, Bachchu Kadu rushed to the Bombay Sessions Court and got bail granted. After that, Bachu Kadu duly applied for regular bail as well. Hearing which, Judge Rahul Rokde granted bail to Kadu in this case on Wednesday with a bond of Rs 15,000 and a surety of the same amount. Also directed not to tamper with any witness evidence directing full cooperation to the investigation mechanism. The then Information Technology Director P. Bachu had gone bitterly to meet Pradeep. It has been alleged that Bachu Kadu picked up the laptop on the table and threw it at Pradeep during the altercation that took place at that time. There was a strong reaction of this incident in the employees union and the ministry employees also went on strike. After that, a criminal complaint under IPC section 353, 504 and 506 has been filed against Bachu Kadu at the Marine Drive police station for obstructing the work of government employees while protesting. Bachu Kadu never attended the hearing despite repeated summonses in this case. Therefore, the court finally issued a non-bailable warrant against him in this case. During the court hearing on this last Wednesday, Bachu Kadu himself finally appeared before the court and applied for bail. However, the court refused to accept this application and directly sent him to judicial custody for 14 days.
