“What is the procedure of making a law? Going to the people with an issue, ground-sourcing the same, discussing it and understanding the details. Making a draft of the law and then again going to the people with that draft. Then coming back with comments of the people on the draft. Then getting it vetted by the law department and passed by the Cabinet. Thereafter, taking it to the parliamentary standing committee and then introducing it in Parliament,” he explained.
“This is the process and in between many people suggest that there should be other laws too. We keep listening to them,” he said. He did not elaborate at what stage the debate stands.
