The dispute turned into a fight at midnight today. After Prabhadevi Rada, department head Mahesh Sawant (Mahesh Sawant) was seen to be on the target of Shinde group. Mahesh Sawant was once known as a staunch supporter of MLA Sada Sarvankar. However, at present he is considered a staunch opponent of Saravankar. In the previous Mumbai municipal election, Saadhan Saravankar won by just around 250 votes. Mahesh Sawant, an independent candidate who defected from the Shiv Sena, was in second place. Mahesh Sawant is an old Shiv Sainik from Prabhadevi. The area of Prabhadevi, Dadar, Paral is considered as the stronghold of Shiv Sena. When the mills were booming, the area was once dominated by communists. However, over time the influence of Shiv Sena increased in this area. There is a large population of Marathi people in this area. Mahesh Sawant’s father was also in Shiv Sena. Influenced by his father, Mahesh Sawant started working actively in Shiv Sena since 1990. Shiv Sena used to participate in agitations and social activities in the department. Thanks to him, Mahesh Sawant created good public relations in the area.
A staunch supporter of Sada Saravankar
MLA Sada Saravankar, who is currently in the Shinde group, had a grip on the Prabhadevi area. Sada Saravankar was elected as a corporator three times.
