No Restrictions On Ambabai Mandir Navratri Says Kolhapur District Collector Rahul Rekhawar

Ambabai Mandir Navratri : Collector of Kolhapur Rahul Rekhawar has assured that this year’s Navratri festival will be held without any restrictions. Paschim Maharashtra Devasthan Samiti will not apply e-pass or online darshan pass for entry to Ambabai temple.

During the past two years, the temple was largely closed for devotees due to the Corona epidemic. Also the temple was opened with restrictions on the number of people allowed to enter, mandatory online booking etc. This year, around one lakh devotees are expected to visit the temple every day.

Additional in-charge of Paschim Maharashtra Devasthan Samiti and Collector Rahul Rekhawar while giving further information said that last year online darshan pass was made mandatory for devotees for darshan of Mahalakshmi temple. This year no such pass is mandatory and devotees will be allowed to have darshan of the goddess without any restrictions. This year, Navratri will be celebrated like before Kovid and preparations have already started.

He said that efforts are being made to provide free washroom facilities for devotees in all residences and hotels in the Ambabai temple area. Display boards giving information about it will be installed at many places. Rekhawar further said that since the construction of devotee residence and parking facility is going on at a slow pace, we are planning to speed it up soon. Talking about beautification and temple development on Temblai hill, Rekhawar said, Blue print of Temblai temple and hill development is ready.

This work will be done keeping in mind the temple and its hilly area. He also mentioned that the crowd of local shopkeepers and devotees during the annual fair has been considered and the works will start soon.
