…so try to come to urban areas and file candidature
At present, though e-seva centers are set up in almost every village, candidates tend to have the right to file their nominations at the taluka place or at the place decided by the panel, so that the details of filing the nomination form remain confidential. Moreover, due to the lack of electricity and internet speed in rural areas, people are trying to come to urban areas and file their candidature. As of now most of the cyber cafes are closed, there is likely to be a huge rush at the e-seva centers to fill the candidature forms till September 27.
It takes at least half an hour to fill the nomination form and candidates are charged between Rs 500 and Rs 1000. The district election department has said that the government has not fixed the rate for this service at the e-service center. Looking at the total number of candidature applications in the district, candidates from Jawhar, Mokhada areas have to come to Nashik, Thane Shahrat for candidates from Wada taluka and other talukas have to come and file their applications in urban areas.
Facility should be made available to fill candidature at local level
Although there is a deposit amount of Rs 100 for the SC, ST and Naga citizens while filling the candidature application, they have to face huge expenses for filling the application. In such a situation, there is a demand that this facility should be made available at a modest rate for filing candidature in the tehsil office and the board office in the taluka.
