This important decision has been taken in the general meeting of the district bank. This will give a big relief to sugarcane farmers. Cooperative sugar factories are closed in Jalgaon district. Now an important decision has been taken to start this sugar factory and this is being followed up on behalf of the District Bank. Therefore, the sugarcane farmers will get a big relief as factories which have been closed for many days will be started.
106th General Meeting of District Central Cooperative Bank was held on Saturday. On this occasion senior leader of NCP, Eknath Khadse, President of District Bank Gulabrao Deokar along with Director were present in the meeting. On this occasion, various topics related to the District Bank were discussed in the meeting. Also, an important decision regarding starting a cooperative sugar factory has been taken in this meeting. This is good news for the sugar farmers of Jalgaon district. This will give a big relief to sugarcane farmers in the district. Sugar factories in the district have been closed for many years.
In the past, Zilla Bank was classified as D. The bank’s NPAs had increased enormously. Also, the number of deposits in the bank was also greatly reduced. The deposits of the bank, which had decreased during the last ten years, have now increased again. At present, deposits in District Banks are above Rs.3200 crores. Accumulated losses as well as NPAs have also come down by five per cent this year and now the NPA stands at 19 per cent. Talking to the media, NCP leader Eknath Khadse has informed that the overall condition of the district bank is good and all the members have expressed their satisfaction with the bank’s work.
Co-operative sugar factories in Jalgaon district are currently closed. It includes Chopra Sugar Factory, Belganga Sugar Factory, Madhukar Cooperative Sugar Factory. It has been decided to start this sugar factory on lease. Eknath Khadse has informed that as there is no response to the sale of the Madhukar Cooperative Sugar Factory, there is a proposal to give it on lease and a decision will be taken soon. Therefore, all the closed cooperative sugar factories in the district will be opened soon and efforts are being made for this.
